Living Room Showcase at the Annual Palm Beach Jewelry, Art and Antique Exhibit. 

Yellow has proven to be the color of choice for the month of February!

Scott (Palm Beach Chairman of HDRF Arts Committee) pulls from the Hope for Depression Research Foundations color palette of cheerful yellow and “cool” grey to inspire our Living Room Showcase at the Annual Palm Beach Jewelry, Art and Antique Exhibit.  The colors are both traditional and modern. The yellow and grey artfully compliment the Mid Century shaped sofas and club chairs, which are in perfect juxtaposition to the beautiful antique pieces, such as the  Philip and Kelvin LaVerne etched bronze and enamel coffee table and the 19^th Century Russian inspired, Empire mahogany and gilt cabinet. The room takes on an ease of sophistication and comfort through the use of Alex Guofeng Cao’s modern art Chromogenic Print of Warhol (which is actually numerous miniature pictures of Mao Tse Tung manipulated to create one large portrait of Andy Warhol) and the infused sense of warmth created by such details as the fireplace vignette and accessories like the caramel and tan animal fur throw. The room was a great representation of Scott’s innate design skills while incorporating the essence of the HDRF color scheme.

Most importantly Scott is proud to be part of a great foundation such as HDRF (founded by Audrey Gruss), and feels strongly connected and inspired by the cause to help aware and educate people around the world about depression.
